Upcoming

Wednesday, November 20 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. CST

Affirmity invites you to attend a two-part webinar series, The Fundamentals of Affirmative Action Planning. This webinar series will equip you with the foundational knowledge, best practices, and resources you, as a U.S. federal contractor, need to successfully navigate the complex world of OFCCP compliance.  The series is ideal for new affirmative action practitioners, as well as those in need of a refresher.

Part Two of our webinar series will be held on Wednesday, November 20, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. CST and focuses on the regulatory requirements of affirmative action for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities under VEVRAA and Section 503. We’ll discuss the required components of an affirmative action plan, how to understand the record keeping requirements, how to evaluate your programs and monitor progress, and how to recruit and hire. We’ll also discuss how to mitigate the chances of harassment and discrimination of protected veterans and people with disabilities in the workplace.

After attending this webinar, you’ll be able to:

  • Recognize which individuals are considered protected veterans
  • Understand the definition of an individual with a disability
  • Implement effective outreach, recruitment, and mandatory job listing requirements with the ESDS
  • Prepare the required metrics under the regulations
  • Implement steps to audit the effectiveness of your AAP and outreach activities
